This model was the last of the 6 C118-A (DC6B) in service in Italian Air Force from 1964 to 1981) They were used for presidential and VIP transport. This livery was changed in 1976 when was founded the 31° stormo stato maggiore on Roma-Ciampino airport. This wing has in force all the airplanes and helicopters used by Italian presidential, Vip military and politicies for official missions. It was radiated just in the summer of the 1981, after more than 25 years in service.
